Portballintrae Cottage

Portballintrae Cottage is located 5 minutes walk from the sea, harbour, nearest beach and restaurant.

Our three bedroom townhouse is ideal for families, groups of golfers or friends and we are pet friendly.
We are pet-friendly with a shared garden and grounds. There is a rear garden with sun patio and BBQ area which gets the sun from 11 am till just before sunset. The townhouse is modern, has full central heating and we provide for an open fire for winter visitors. There is one double bedroom with ensuite, one twin bedroom and one twin bunk room (adult size). There is also a bathroom with bath and a separate shower. The living room has a smart TV which allows you to link to your Netflix, Britbox, BBC and ITV subscriptions. Also there is a DVD player and music system, the bunk room and main bedroom have TV sets.

The Living room, dining area and kitchen are in one large open plan room on the first floor with stunning views over the countryside. There is a separate Laundry / Utility Room.

We are Pet Friendly for up to two pets. We insist that pets are kept off the furniture and out of the bedrooms. Unfortunately it is not suitable for larger pets. Please check with us before you book.

We have a Electric Vehicle Charging Point at the front door. £30 per weekend and £50 per week. Please ask for access. 

We are only 5 mins walk from the harbour and beaches. The Bayview Hotel Restaurant and Cove Bistro are highly recommended and only 5 and 7 minutes walk away. Bushmills with great shops and more restaurants is 9 minutes walk.

You can walk from the cottage to the Giant’s Causeway entrance in 20 minutes, have a pint and lunch at the Nook and then take the tram back to Bushmills.

Portrush with its renowned cluster of restaurants is 10 minutes drive away. Check out Ramore Restaurants, Elephant Rock and Kraken Fish and Chips.

  • A Pet Friendly, Non-Smoking & No Shoe Apartment. Minimum Age of Responsible Adult is 25. If there is not at least one adult of 25 years in the group the booking will be cancelled, access will not be permitted and there will be no refund. Pets are welcome but permission must be asked. Pets are not allowed in the bedrooms or on the furniture. If there are pet hairs in these areas will incur £100 cleaning charge. Smoking indoors will incur an additional £300 charge.

  • Strict Cancellation Policy. If you cancel we will try to resell your dates. If we cannot resell there is no refund. Please ensure that your holiday insurance covers cancellation costs.

Your Host - Lyn Fawcett

I come from a hotel background and have been a senior lecturer in hospitality and tourism management for over 30 years. My family has been running self catering holiday homes in the Giants Causeway Coast line and Kyrenia in Northern Cyprus for over 15 years. These are our holiday homes that we use for ourselves as we enjoy both locations immensely. Because of this they are equipped more like home then as a rental property. We always get great feedback from our visitors, many of whom return year and year again.
