Welcome to Causeway Cottages at the Gateway to the Giant’s Causeway Coastline.
Your holiday home is located right in the heart of the Causeway Coastal Route, right in the middle of all the
gems of the area. The jewel of the Giant’s Causeway is surrounded by a range of beautiful golden sandy beaches,
ancient ruins, wonderful country landscapes and sea views with miles of walks along the shore or through the
country. This is an area Outstanding Natural Beauty (AONB) of scenic contrasts from white chalk to basalt
cliffs, sandy shores with acres of sand dunes into rolling green hills through the peat lands to St Patrick’s
home at Slemish Mountain, a volcanic plug in the centre of the Antrim Plateau.
The World famous Royal Portrush Golf Course, Portstewart Golf Course and Bushfoot Golf Course are all within a
few miles of each of the houses. We are based in a small triangle of three lovely villages, Portballintrae,
Bushmills and Portrush.
Gateway to the rest of Northern Ireland
You are within easy travel to Belfast, Armagh and the famous Walled City of Derry. The Glens of Antrim are only
12 miles from our door and the local shopping town of Coleraine is only 10-12 minutes drive from each of the
houses.
Portballintrae is a quiet fishing village with a small harbour, a boat club all in a very safe bay with
enclosed beaches for the younger family and a wide open beach with rolling surf for the surfers and sports
fishing. The Giant’s Causeway is 25 mins walk along the beach and around the headland. There are two excellent
wine bars in town.
Bushmills, the home of Bushmills Distillery (a must to visit), is slightly larger with a range of restaurants
from fine dining to excellent cafes and coffee shops. Bushmills has a host of good shops with the best fruit
& vegetable and the best butchers in the area.
Portrush is a well established seaside resort with a wide range of attractions including the renowned Ramore
complex of restaurants. These are simply the best dining on the North Antrim Coast.
We also have a range of great contacts for accommodation in the area. So if we are fully booked we can always
arrange for your holiday in one of our 4 star neighbours; or if you have a large group of families we can
organise cottages that are beside each other to give you a real family experience.
